He was. I think his greatest accomplishments had to do with special needs individuals. His own child was a downs syndrom and in the day they more often than not were housed in "sanitariums". But his wife said "No we are bringing him home". That opened up a path where they contributed heavily to those who had disabilities and eventually led them to being involved in the Specials Olympics. Quite a legacy.
