Granted, I'm talking 22-25 years ago but he told me then that Breakfast is dirt cheap in the Restaurant Business and a HUUUUGE profit maker. He said they'd get their eggs by the crate at VERY low prices. Even then, their place was CONSIDERABLY lower than the likes of IHOP but they still made a HUGE gain on Breakfast. Their lunches did fairly well with a simple menu. But yeah.....Nothing more annoying than getting a standard 2 egg / 2 sausage/ bacon strips and toast and being charged $6..7.....I have even seen THIRTEEN bucks! And I TOTALLY get the over head they have to cover but still..
