Wife and I went to a place called California Pizza Oven. Small pizzas for almost $20? Caesar Salad (Big bowl of lettuce) for $15?? I almost ordered nothing but just got an appetizer instead...with water. Had we gotten the same style of pizza we usually get at our favorite Pizza place, it would have been a $60 + tip Lunch. At our favorite place, we can get a Medium 2 topping pizza with 2 Cokes and with tip, spend about $33-$35. The place we were in today had maybe three Customers and it's in a VERY VERY popular / crowded Outdoor Shopping Mall. The hole in the wall place we usually hit always has several Customers in it.
I hate seeing ANY place fail but some Restaurants try to be TOO Hipster like and price themselves out of business.
