at Sears.. Not always my favorite brands, but it was cool to be able to actually see and touch specific tools and, half the time, I'd find other stuff I wanted just by going through the tool section.. Kind of cool to also have a large electronics section with people who actually knew how stuff worked and what brands and models were worth buying.. As it stands, you buy a TV or whatever online and hope and pray the reviews haven't been doctored to trick you into buying something..
.. and then in my case, half the time the item sucks but its too much trouble to return it.. I got a Sony surround sound receiver a few years ago that would heat up and stop halfway through every movie..never once made it through a movie.. and when it crapped out, the movie shut off and you had to start over after it cooled down... Too much trouble to return it - I just ordered a Denon and threw the Song in a closet where its sat every since..
