I remember while at Chanute AFB, Ill, for USAF Fire School in Mar / Ap 1986, watching an episode about a guy that whatever he drew would come to life. He also happened to be a Ball Turret Gunner. Well.....His plane lost a land gear so he draws a B-17 with a full landing gear and one magically appears in a cartoon form. That show was actually good. I THINK it was Produced by Steven Spielburg. It was an 80s version of The Twilight Zone.
It was called "The Mission" and that particular episode starred a young Keifer Sutherland and Kevin Costner as The Captain. I had to look it up. I had forgotten about this series. It's not one I watched.
