I think it was Arizona AD that said , when they joined the Big 12
College sports are expensive
and I agree what hurt the Pac 12 is being in the Pacific Time zone ,
more games on national TV is huge , the Big Ten now covers all time zones , the Big Ten will now have games all day long
this confrence realignment pretty much all started when the Big Ten got thier 80 million per school TV deal , the SEC got their 75 million per school deal beofre that
if the TV deal was equal amoung confrences , schools would probably have stayed put
but , that is no longer the case
Florida is making 75 Million in the SEC , while Florida State is only making 30 million in the ACC
hopefully things will settle down now for a while
Florida State , Clemson and North Carolina all want out of the ACC , but it look pretty tough for them to get out , at least in the near future with their grant of rights and TV deal that doesn't expire until 2036
but one of , and maybe the main reason why the ACC added , Stanford , Cal and SMU , was because if the ACC drops below a certian of the Teams , ESPN can renegotiate their deal for a lower amount , so the ACC added those three teams in case Florida State , Clemson and North Carolina leave
But I think it will slow down now , we'll see what happens with Washington State and Oregon State ,
and , as always , all eyes will always be on Notre Dame , how long can they stay independant
