first , lets take care of the elephant in the room
confrence media deals
the Big Ten makes 80 million per school
the SEC makes 75 million per school
now that we got those two out of the way
the ACC makes a little over 30 million per school
the Big 12 makes about 32 million per school
but when it was time for the Pac 12 to renegotiate their TV media deal , ESPN came to them and offered 30 million per school , pretty much the same as the ACC and the Big 12
but nope , the pompous ass Pac 12 demanded 50 miilion per school , ESPN simple just got up from the table , and never returned , after that , the only TV deal the Pac 12 could find was a all streaming deal with Apple for like 20 million , with incentives
so now , instead of taking ESPN's TV deal which was equal to the ACC and Big 12's they would still be together
but nope , now their spread out in the 4 winds
with Stanford and Cal joining the ACC , they only get about a 30 percent share , or about 10 million per year
Utah , Colorado , Arizona and Arizona State joining the Big 12 get a full share of about 32 million per year
Oregon and Washington joining the Big Ten only get a partial share , which is about 30 million per year , but their share will go up every year , until the Big Tens new TV deal comes out
sad
