Last night i made a decision... unless it's an emergency I'm no longer going to drive at night in the rain.
To be honest... I don't know how much worse my vision is in those conditions than young drivers, all the other drivers on the road - - but I did not trust myself. I think it's the 'glare'?
It was bad weather... the roads were covered in water... and when a car would approach I could not see the lines on the road, or the edge of the road.
I slowed, of course, but I'm not sure that helps or makes things worse because no one else slows....making someone who slows a hazard?
Whatever... bad old age eyesight, bad drivers, when it's night and pouring my place is home in my comfy chair sipping scotch. - JamesJM
