the rules don't make any sense to me. It's more like 'there are no rules so we make some up as we go along'. But that's not the only thing that bothers me....
most people today, nearly all, can't get enough scoring... and want that for football. The NBA is a pretty good example of why I, personally, don't think lots of scoring equates to 'better'.
BUT... only fair of me to admit the following - first, and most obviously, those guys are fantastic athletes. Secondly... the last minute or two of a basketball game "can" be about as thrilling as it gets. I watch quite a few collegiate games, and high school, and I am often on the edge of my seat. It's a great game....
just not the NBA version, IMHO. - JamesJM
