Iowa must get some pretty tough winters, so I’m guessing that you’re used to it. Doesn’t mean that you enjoy the winters or even find them tolerable. Myself, I find that the older I get the more I hate winter. Last year was probably the worst winter that I’ve ever experienced, we still had snow in some places around here in the middle of May. Anyway, I didn’t mean to make this post about my winters. I meant to ask, with Iowa being a place that gets snow every year, does a dump of 8 inches throw daily life into chaos (e.g school closures, grocery shelves empty) like it does in some places? Even up here a relatively small amount of snow can cause havoc in places like Toronto or Vancouver.
