The club has more issues than just the injuries
Their ability to draft in later rounds has been solid, but there's more to it now.
The coaching issue finally bit us.
She mentions Terrell Burgess. He had a specific role with Staley. That changed, and that went for a guy like Terrell Lewis. With that cat they knew he was a risk reward guy. And he looks like a killer football player. Unfortunately, he was never meant to be a full time guy. That was even more evident when they started "resting" him with that knee.
But there are guys that we never meant to be full timers: They were meant to rotation or role players.
Bottom line, I thought this podcast was very fine at laying out what ails us beyond just the injuries. The coaching is an issue. The fit for players on the roster versus the era of their selection make for problems.
I do think they need to be very adroit with their acquisitions this offseason. Including the coaching staff.
