So you think Rams won because Broncos were demoralized and Rams also got lucky?
Ummmm, okay…
I think it was because McVay self scouted and made desperately needed corrections and had a fired up team ready to play after that Lambeau humiliation.
Ran the ball consistently for a change.
Used his TE’s heavily as targets for a change.
Used 12 personnel sets for a change.
Rams OL had gelled sufficiently to run block and pass pro well for a huge change.
Played some fired up and promising youngsters for a change.
Had Mayfield taking what Broncos gave him in a well balanced attack.
Superb play calling for a change.
Good use of time outs for a change.
Minimal penalties for a change.
Played Durant instead of Kendrick.
Won turnover battle.
Won TOP battle by about 10 minutes.
THIS kind of overall effort was what we all were expecting all season long as defending SB champions.
I submit to you that it probably wouldn’t have mattered which team had to face the Rams that day because the Rams had their act together in all phases with all players and all coaches and had become a buzzsaw for at least that one game.
Sure, the Broncos became demoralized but I believe they became so AFTER the beat down had already begun. The Rams simply made them wilt.
