I did qualify regular season when speaking of the Niners’ streak.
Like I said, when you don’t have to worry about getting slobberknocked, you can focus on other things.
Do you consider the McVay Rams as physically dominating? I don’t. He’s out smarting teams on offense and on defense, with Morris, he’s reactive rather than aggressive and forcing.
And again I want McVay to grow as a coach. Football is not chess. I don’t have to tell you, but to show my emphasis, it’s a violent, physical game.
And the Rams don’t play that way. I offer the opportunity for you to counter me on that. The only example I can come up with is the playoff game in the Coliseum against the Cowboys.
Don’t get me wrong. I love the victories, the divisional, conference and league championships.
But it’s totally painful for me to watch my favorite team, not just lose to my most hated team, but to a very large extent, get dominated by them. PUT. THAT. DANG. STUFF. INTO. THE. GARBAGE.
Beat your rivals. Put a team together that doesn’t only beat your rivals, but sinks their egos to the bottom of the sea.
I’m so tired of this and I don’t see the Rams under McVay having the first inkling of how to flip the tables.
well the first two years of the McVay era, we swept the Niners, although we rested our entire starting unit on both offense and defense last game of 2018 and lost, but we all know what would have happened had we played our starters...then the Niners had their run, but LOST the only game that MATTERS.
Trust me when I say this, every single Niners player, coach and fan would give all those meaningless regular season wins away for the ONE that mattered the most.
We have always had a top defense, you don't do that by being "soft" although most of us can't stand the bend don't break defense and the soft shell that Morris deploys...IMO Morris needs to go
we are 4th in run defense, but 14th overall.
Like I said, up until this year, the Rams have been by far a much more successful team than the Niners since 2017(Shanny has been 6-10 or worse three times in that five year stretch)
we will be better for this humbling year, but lets also put it in its proper context...no team would survive the tsunami of injuries this team has suffered
