He is a talented ball carrier who had a very bad injury and came back from that too early and this season is running behind an epically injured and ineffective offensive line.
There is no doubt that no running back in the NFL would have any success behind this offensive line, it is terrible by any standard, the starters weren't that great and the backups were not that great and then the backups to the backups were street-free agents...
It's hard and pretty much impossible to judge any of the skill players when the Rams have had to deal with the Oline issues they have had which are historic in number.
The fact that Cam has a high broken tackle number and yard after contact is telling in the fact that the effort and toughness are there and so is the determination to make something out of nothing. He fumbled a few times. no more than any other NFL running back based on stats.
We don't know what happened with him and the Rams. McVay might be a little tough to deal with at times and I am certain Cam wanted the ball and wanted to play more and likely went at it the wrong way and the Rams benched him and put him back in his place. We don't know so blaming it all on the player just doesn't make sense and when you factor in the way some guys are played and others are blackballed or benched or simply not played has alot of us question why and what reason for some of these guys both staying on the field and others like Tutu not being able to get on it.
