Man it got really old listening to people clamor for the guy the Chiefs took...who was never ours. Great we could have had him and several other players...but we have Tutu...
He finally gets to play and look what happens...He makes plays and has each and every time he has been given a chance.
There were many reasons to think Tutu would be a bust. By many people. Rams fans, Non Rams fans and even some of his family too.
His getting hurt falling on the football. Failing at special teams. Calling his family and fans "clowns" and "MF'ers", not looking like anything special as WR and also McVay not playing the kid when we were in dire need of play makers. All reinforced the doubt people were having about him.
IMO, he looks like a much better player this year and it's not close. Granted, it's only been a few games but he's looked really good every time he touches the ball this year. He looks like a play maker. Can he sustain this level of play consistently?
I still think Creed was the right pick and have some doubts if he can hold up due to his small size. But I hope he continues to stay healthy and productive for the rest of this year and next.
As one of his biggest critics here, I have to say in the last few games he has earned some respect from me for being a better player and a better person too. The twitter stuff stopped. No diva attitude and he's making plays.
I am still not 100% sold on Tutu. IMO, his size is still a problem that could affect his ability to stay healthy, be a good blocker or be taken out of a play easily.
IMO, most will always say Creed was the "right" pick no matter what Tutu does but if he keeps on getting better and does it consistently the next few games, he will win some more people over.
2 things I still want to know:
Why didn't McVay play him sooner? He wasn't even trying to get Tutu involved in the game plan. Not one bit.
How much better would Tutu look with Stafford, Kupp and ARob playing too? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
