So I'll spell it out for you. My point wasn't that Belicheck isn't a great head coach (do I think he is vastly over rated? yes) it's that it doesn't matter how great of a coach you are if you don't have the horses to run the scheme you want to run. Is he a great defensive mind? Absolutely, one of the best ever, but if he is one of the greatest defensive minds ever, why is he so middle of the road now? His defense is hanging in there around top 10 territory, but so was Morris until 2 weeks ago. Its because he just doesn't have the horses he once did.
And FWIW, I didn't call you a child, I said you were acting childish, which you are with the cutesy name calling. Want to have an adult conversation? Try acting like an adult.
And if you don't, fine. And if you think I'm an idiot, fine as well. Plenty of people do. And if you don't want my stupidity dogging down the board, just put me on ignore.
And if you want to be accurate with your name calling, then may I suggest: Staley's Stay Puff Morrishmellow defense. Since its Staley's D and Morris is just running it.
Now, if you really want your mind blown, think about this: Why did McVay bring in a "buddy" to run Staley's take on the Fangio D, when Morris had never run that type of D before and there were plenty of viable DC candidates out there with experience coaching that D?
Thats the problem I have with Morris. To me, it was a buddy hire, not unlike Coen as OC, and its a square peg in a round hole. That said, this is the same D that won a SB last year, and I don't remember anyone complaining about it. Whats changed? Not the coach, maybe its the horses, or lack there of.
Something to think about.
