I think injuries are just a fact of life, especially on the OL…

Rams are blessed with an exceptional strength and training staff and most years seem to have less than their fair share of injuries.

But sooner or later freak injuries just happen. Rams rolled snake eyes this year, especially on that OL. We’re gonna be talking about this OL injury season for years.

The sad thing is that catastrophic injuries on OL throw a monkey wrench into the effectiveness of the entire O, up to and including losing one’s starting QB and best WR due to ripple effects.

Hopefully, Rams have relearned a hard lesson about the importance of maintaining a quality OL that can enable all these pricey and flashy skill players on O to do their thing. Even if all of our original OL starters had remained healthy this OL would probably have only been middle of the pack.

I hope and pray that McVay has now wrapped his mind around that. That Atwell pick over Humphrey has NOT aged well.

Do injuries coincide with losing more than just the obvious?
