To use Tutu effectively the QB needs at least three, or better, four seconds of good protection for the play to develop and for timing and ball placement to be in sync with the receiver.
That we don't have. It's the O line.
Because of that,Tutu hasn't had enough snaps, let alone targets, to develop a history. This year is a dismal abberation in which to assess new talent. At best, when it all comes together, I don't see Tutu as a freeze-dried Desean Jackson.
That said, my hunch is that McVay wanted this specific player, especially when his first choice fell through, and it was his call overriding Snead to draft him. I simply cannot see Les doing this all on his own.

At this point, seeing as how you can't use him effectively with a collapsing O line without putting your QB in mortal danger, why not farm him out to the practice squad and bring up a football player - any football player - who can do more to help us win?
