Really? So, we are now going to double down on the notion that this kid can't play even after another long successful bomb? He was the highlight for this game. He is not Tavon. He runs better routes and has better hands. The thing with a real deep threat is not just that you can beat the whole defense over the top by throwing the bomb, but once you do it, they have to okay their D differently. It opens the underneath throws. It puts the safeties back do the run game opens up too. This kid is only 22. He has been open all of the few tries where they threw deep in his direction. Two of them were catchable and he snagged them both. I get all the "he's not Creed" arguments, and I've always agreed with them, but we did get a player with that same pick and he is a total offensive weapon if/when utilized. Putting him in motion would prevent him getting jammed at the line. He did take a handoff against the Panthers and gained 9 yards and nobody could touch him before he went out of bounds to create a 2nd and one. He was taken out after that play. and yesterday, he caught a 62-yard bomb for a TD. Then, he was taken out. Why? I couldn't tell you. For a team that can't score it
is very weird. With Kupp out he is our best offensive weapon. Maybe he's being saved for next year. We can only hope.
