The Panthers are much worse than "not good."
McCaffrey is like their whole team. Watching them live was like watching a car wreck in progress. The only ran the ball up the middle and had screen passes. In the first half we ran the same crummy plays against them. We got nowhere. In the second half we started to run jet sweeps and rollouts and it confused the Panthers. I totally agree that we shouldn't figure that we're back to SB ready after winning this mess. With Stafford and Kupp we have two of the best in their primes. They are tough to stop. But, we need the rest doing their thing to be ready for the big teams. I'll take the win and wait for reinforcements. The Niners game is going to be very tough. It's hard to beat them and they are very physical. If we beat them without losing more players to injury we can look very good going forward. If we get whipped and lose more key guys we could be in trouble.
