I don't find posts from fans on other boards any different than post of articles. In both cases there is some information being posted here from an outside source. And in neither case do we have an opportunity to engage the original author.
However, we all have an opportunity to express our opinion about the content of those posts whether the author is a paid professional or another fan, and those responses sometimes generate an interesting discussions among the posters on this board.
The suggestion that oldnotdead, kupper, etc. just post here is reasonable ... but they might not even know this board exists, might not know their stuff is being copied and pasted here, might not want to participate in more than one board (like me), might just be engaging in a topic on another board that isn't even being discussed here.
Personally I'd rather see another post from kupper than another uniform thread. And having said that I already know not everyone agrees. But guess what? There's very little on this board that everyone agrees with - that's what makes it fun for me. There would never be a discussion if someone posted something and everyone who replied just gave a thumbs up. What's the fun in that?!?
