That's just it. He looked so good in PS that he forced his way onto the 53, but that doesn't mean he's ready to go into game action and make a difference here. Our WR room is deep. Not as much as before with OBJ and VJ out. But, few other teams have a 1-2 punch like CK and AR. SKOW played last year in the big game.
Tutu did not. It makes sense that they would try to give the guy with more experience the first shot. But, SKOW did miss on a bomb last week. He looked up for it at the wrong time and over the wrong shoulder and it fell incomplete. That would not go down as a drop, but it was a missed big play opportunity. SKOW is catching the short passes. He is blocking well. I like the guy. But, the most unique thing about Tutu is his raw speed and ability to track and catch long passes. It is a skill. He was catching these throughout training camp. I saw videos. People here were writing how great he looked at camp. He made the squad without being used in PS games. The regular season came and then nothing. Very few snaps and one target. And the one target was a short dig route where he got blasted. That route is the worst one he could be used for. It nullifies his speed and exposes his biggest weakness which is lack of size. So, my take is he hasn't had a real shot, yet. Maybe he won't get his shot. But, if ever there was a time to try him out this weekend would be it. Stafford should have time to find him. Anyway, it would be nice to know.
