This is going to be a very unpopular post. This is my last ditch effort to bail out my little friend, Tutu Atwell. It is time. I don't want to see long passes to SKOW. He can't catch them. He can try to be a FB/TE/WR whatever. But, let's see what our fastest WR can do. Run him in motion so he can get pre-snap separation. Bunch him in trips on one side and let him run up the field.
Last season he had 10 total snaps and no targets. Game 1 he had 7 and 1. Yes, he dropped the 1. I know. I know. Last week he had 2 snaps and 0 targets. Probably didn't need to shower. So, with VJ out and now 3 games into his sophomore year let's see what he can do.
He was a second round draft pick. Our highest pick last season. He should know the playbook. He is healthy. (Right?) most of our posters hate him already and many more think he's a total bust and should be cut or traded for a box of donuts. McVay was very excited draft day about this guy. That wasn't that long ago. He told us Tutu has a recommitment in camp to be a great player. Camp reports kept glowing about his play there. So, what are we waiting for? VJ is out. Nobody is asking for him to take snaps away from CK or AR, but SKOW? He has to be better than SKOW. If he isn't, I'm jumping off the TTA train immediately. I'll see what nasty small jokes I can hurl his way. I'll jump on the McClutch train. Actually, I already really like him, but realize he's redshirting this season.
Powell? I'm averaging more yards per return in my living room. Nope. It's really that time. Put up or shut up. Poop or get off the can. It is Tutu time. This week. Versus the Cardinals.
