He has shown nothing in his career because he has had no chances to do so. Yet. Right now he is a depth player. CK and ARob are the two starters. VJ is our third starter. He is out. SKOW is getting most of the third string snaps. He gets them because he is a big physical blocker.
So Atwell is our #4/#5 WR. Powell BTW is an experienced WR and has drawn snaps too.
With McVay it's all about matchups. He will use Atwell's speed when the opportunity exists.
There is no rush. I don't think he worries about draft slots when designing plays. He doesn't say to himself I better make Tutu an All Pro because I chose him instead of Creed. And this is true because our HC is sane. I am not worried about it either way. Either Tutu plays well and as a second round pick it shouldn't surprise anyone, or he is actually a total bust and those who have thrown dirt on him were dead right, or something in between. But, let me ask this. If your were the HC would you really throw up your hands and say to yourself, hey I screwed up. This little guy sucks. I'm gonna wave him! Ok, then, you cut the guy. But what do you gain? Who is going to fill that roster spot? It still won't be Creed. Do you think those practice squad WRs are an upgrade over Tutu? If they were wouldn't they be in the 53 and Tutu would be on the practice squad?
What were all the practices for? Why have talent evaluators at all? Get rid of the entire scouting department. We'll make roster decisions based on posts on the stand discussion board. Yeah, that's it.
