i'm guessing this is the key ingredient in this recipe.
Mccutcheon would not just be added to the wr corps but would have to knock off 1 backup amongst all the positions on the active 48.
he's not going to knock off powell as we haven't seen mccutheon do any returning. they might actually like mcutcheon better as a straight up 6th wr but they can't afford to not have powell on the active 48.
and we have our answer from the coaching staff as to who the trust amongst the wr's giving the year 2 guys skowronek and atwell the nod over the year 1 guy mccutheon. and then relying on powell as #6 if they have to go that deep in order to preserve depth at all the other positions.
doesn't mean mccutheon can't change that during the course of the season but i think he'll have to prove to be better than skowronek and atwell during practices somehow in order to get there.
