Having Obo and Garrett instead of Hardy and Thomas doesn't seem all that much better to me. Heck, the Rams could have still had Garrett if they wanted him but apparently they like Hardy and Thomas better.
And yeah, I know the position was upgraded when the Rams got Miller but he didn't play until the 10th regular season game. And it's always possible that the Rams pull off a similar deal if they think they need to upgrade the position down the road.
BTW, the Rams were on pace for 53 sacks before Miller arrived and they ended up with 50. I love what Miller brought to the table, but it's not like the Rams were struggling to generate pressure before he arrived.
