I would think that that is where parenting comes in.......I would think that kids within a family atmosphere would know right conduct from bad, and also have some kind of understanding of the line between showmanship, and sportsmanship...I would like to think a child learns how to live in the world from those closest around him....
But in this world of being so easy to point at these people or that person and never looking inward I see your point. IMO a child who has to emulate the actions of a sports star is a sad thing. In my eyes it kinda says they have no real hands on, in their face grownups to be there with the ability to correct it. Heck so many times I've seen on the news the parents are worse then these sports stars on the TV.....
I am not preaching in any way, just giving my viewpoint, if a parent has to rely on a person on the TV to show his kid how to react to things I feel sorry for that kid. If a parent is going to let that sports star be his kids role model that is a sad thing IMO.....Maybe it shows neglect from the parent or maybe low parenting skills? Don't know and I am not going any farther than that.
