...., vs. "abandoning the run".... brought a smile to my face as it reminded me of the way that McVay handled things in the Super Bowl.

Our run game was practically 'dead on arrive' against a determined Bengal defense. Other than a couple of "chunk runs" we never did get that part of our game going. Another thing we didn't do was to 'abandon it'. At least not until the very last critical drive.

It was so frustrating to watch us punt so often..., especially later in the 2nd half in a game where we needed to come from behind. But I was so proud of Sean McVay and how he stuck to his guns. He remained patient when most play callers wouldn't have. I think that was huge. I can't help but get a feeling that his patients payed off on the final drive. Were the Bengals perhaps caught off guard a little by our coach switching gears completely and simply giving the ball over to Stafford and Kupp?

You could probably see and explain that much better than I.... but my gut tells me, that sticking with a 'non-existent' run game..., just enough..., had a lot to do with the offensive success on that final drive.

GO LOS ANGELES RAMS !!!
