I remember Orlando Pace when we got him and I was wondering why he was coined special. Well, there was a play where he sealed off the whole left side of the defense and our RB ran a sweep behind his blocked untouched. The announcers of course made a big deal out of it. I had never seen someone do that before.
Of course he is in the Hall of Fame and was taken #1 in the entire draft. My point is even is a guy is a rookie and doesn't know everything to be a great player his raw athleticism which led to his draft status should show. I didn't see that from #60. He fit in with the other young OL very nicely. But, my point is he should stand out on some aspect of a play. Maybe he gets to a LB quickly and seals the middle off. Maybe he pancakes somebody of a pull. I dunno. Something.
