THAT would have been a very honest assessment. Maybe not PC enough for some, might have hurt Bruss’ feelings just a little bit.
It isn't PC to not call out a player's shortcomings in public. The old adage applies: Praise in public, criticize in private. He's a rookie, there is still much to learn and considering it was his first time against other NFL professionals, he did fine with some rookie mistakes and some identifiable areas to work on.
