A more objective answer would be to say that there was some good and some bad Bruss play. And that needed technique would be very coachable. That Bruss’ Rams future looked very bright if he continued to apply himself.

THAT would have been a very honest assessment. Maybe not PC enough for some, might have hurt Bruss’ feelings just a little bit. But would have been more honest.

As an aside, I suspect that Bruss will ultimately benefit from his occasional embarrassments last night. His pride will force him to redouble his development efforts.

I think he’s gonna be a fine OG in the NFL one day. Just won’t happen this September barring injury to Shelton.
