I want both, too, Dynasty.
Your explanation of OBJ’s value was outstanding. The good news is that it’s looking highly likely that Rams will sign OBJ at some point. I think the only reason Rams are waiting is they want to follow his knee recovery process. If that goes well it just makes a ton of sense for both team and player to sign him. IOW, I think that OBJ is virtually a done deal.
As to Quinn? Rams may consider him a ‘want’ at this point, not a ‘need’. He would be pricey and his more natural position is as a 4-3 DE. Having said that, he has had success as an Edge in a 3-4 and it’s impossible to ignore his 18 1/2 sacks last year. Can you imagine the Rams pass rush if Quinn comes home? Goodness.
I think it comes down to Rams confidence in their current bench at Edge. If Rams are truly comfortable there then I think they stand pat, much like they’ve done on their OL recently when fans were clamoring for new blood. But if they think that Quinn could be the difference maker type then we all know that Rams will probably get him one way or another.
