I definitely see what you're seeing: $5M Prorated Bonuses in both 2025 and 2026 should be $10M in dead money if AD plays out this contract. But the screenshot from overthecap.com (see below) says it's over $23M.

I did some digging and I think there's an error in that overthecap data.

The $5M roster bonus shown in 2024 fully guarantees the 3rd league day of 2023. So if he plays in 2023 and then retires he gets that $5M.

But if he plays in 2024 he earns another $30M: a $20 million option bonus and $10 million base salary. That salary is properly accounted for, but the option bonus isn't

That option bonus would be prorated over the last 3 years of the deal. The screenshot shows $6,666,666 under 'Other Bonus' for 2023, but it should also show that some amount under 'Other Bonus' for both 2024 and 2025. (Actually, $6,666,667 to make it come out to $20M total.)

That's how the option bonus should be accounted for, and shame on overthecap for not getting that right!!

Anyway, in addition to those two $5M Prorated Bonuses shown for '24 and '25 there should also be two $6,666,667 Other Bonuses for those same years. Add up all four figures: $23,333,334.
