I used to be addicted to the draft. I didn't even watch it this year. Free agency... Barely looked at it... Even when I saw Clowney available my first thought was NOOOO! and it was supplanted by "Well if they think its a good idea..."
I no longer feel like I have to be the GM. As silly as that was to begin with. But it's like I have hired a manager who is making my company money... I let them do what they do and keep out of the kitchen.
I was not a Goff fan... I was a fan of the pick but not the player. Which was opposite of the Gurley pick... furious with the pick, happy with the player... not happy with the extension on him or Goff. But when you're the Rod Carew of football decisions, the leash is so long it might as well not be on.
In many ways it's more fun to second guess every decision and have a conniption about who they drafted. And I am a little torn because I don't feel like I bled enough for the recent success. But I have accepted the position of just watching the glory. Hoping it will develop into a dynasty.
Plus we have Jourdan now. The days of Bernie, Jim Thomas and Farmer are all gone for me. I only listen to Jourdan, literally for me the best ever.
