this was my 1st thought after reading what the UFA tender meant, having never seen it before.
my 2nd thought was: this will undoubtedly be extremely inflammatory to OBJ (and probably just about every player to receive it).
3rd thought was that Snead doesn't play this way - not likely to play this poison pill kind of a card with such obvious ill will that would certainly result.
i'm convinced Snead will let this OBJ contract situation play out politely for a while, perhaps in parallel with the Donald extension as a counter balance, rather than issuing any ultimatums. which would mean we would be waiting for a while on Donald's extension.
at least i hope so ~ if Van Jefferson can hold down the fort while waiting for OBJ to be back ~ and if Allen Robinson is what we all expect him to be ~ Skowronek with another year under his belt ~ we'll see what Atwell can contribute : this WR corp should be a step function better than the group we had last year.
add to this Higbee healthy, Hopkins and Blankton after showing something late last year and who knows what Harris is capable of at TE.
PLUS everyone but Robinson is now in their 2nd year with Stafford. and Stafford is now in his 2nd season with McVay and the staff and the system. a big deal in my mind.
