McDermott is an excellent head coach, one of the better guys from this generation that includes McVay. But he's got to find a way to get Allen at his best when it matters.
Daboll got a HC gig from his time there but didn't do that IMO. Not sure if the next guy can. In fact if McDermott wants to win it all I suggest he fix that defense. That is his background after all. Build a dominant defense and keep giving that ball back to Allen, then maybe you'll win those big games.
