had a 42.6 net average in 2021, 3rd or 4th best in NFL...
people just want a great gross average, the BOOOOM kick
means nothing, NET average is what matters
and when you kick them so they cannot be returned
(60 yards in 2021) those are winning kicks.
That said, due to what he was making, it was time to go
Rams needed the cap space . . . but to say he "lost it"
is based on no information and when his 42.6 net
was just .3 yards off his career 42.9 average is
just not getting it.
WHen you are a bad team you can let them fly because
you are in you own end a lot more, when you punt from
mid field or from the your own 40 rather than your own 30 or 35
it makes a difference in your kicks...
his Net yards above average (which accounts for all that) was
3rd best in NFL.
