He had lost it, IMHO... and I say that with all due respect and appreciation for all he did for the Rams. And not just in the game... he was fun as heck to listen to in the mid'd up segments and also in his interviews. Quite a character... a very good one.
His demise, (if I'm right), mystified me a bit because it seemed nearly overnight. One day on and next day pfffft.
That said, the loss of what Hekker was as a PUNTER, (again, IMHO), is huge. Punter's are worth their weight in gold... good ones that is, good AND consistent. It's a critical position to field and deserves every bit the consideration given to the other positions. And yes, I think the Rams are very aware of that and will act accordingly. - JamesJM
