AD and his agent currently have too much leverage on the Rams regarding a contract extension.
There are probably only 3 outcomes that happen.
1. Rams come to an agreement and give AD a contract extension he's willing to except.
2. Rams ask AD and his agent what teams they would agree to be traded to if a deal can't be agreed on.
3. AD decides to retire/sit out the 2022 season and reassess his options in 2023.
There is a 4th option.
Rams advise AD to play out his remaining 3 years or retire. His choice.
Rams then can use saved money for other positions.
I’m being semi-serious.
