Isn't "dropping back" Mack's weakness? If you can make him "cover"...you can beat him pretty easily from I have seen and heard.
Mack is a really good player IMO but his best years might be behind him and I think the league knows how to "attack" him. I am sure Staley will figure out how to get his best from him.
but he won't do it a ton, just like FLoyd does not...just of the two, Floyd or Miller, FLoyd is okay in short zones...
Of the two, Bosa and Mack, someone has to drop sometimes...and Macl > Bosa at that
The scheme demands someone do it.
