Yeah, the Bobby Wagner trade down was an pretty big error. I never understood how they didn't have Lavonte David next on their board after Wagner and Kendricks were gone. We will also never know the effect of Jeff Fisher on those picks in the early years of Les Snead. I was always pretty sure that Greg Robinson was going to be Jason Smith 2.0 and he was, but I think Les has grown in a lot of ways. I'm pretty sure he learns as he goes. The Greg Robinson rule--don't draft morons. The Brian Quick rule--don't draft raw athletes, draft production (at least in the first two rounds). The Bobby Wagner rule--if there is a player you love, don't gamble, I think something that Les has always known is that more picks=more chances and that first round picks bust rate (especially in some drafts) are much higher than most folks realize. And he has always had the "mechanics of the draft" down cold.
