He's scheduled to make $16M in 2022 ($9M salary plus a $5.5M roster bonus plus another $1.5M in other bonuses). None of which is guaranteed, btw, so the Rams could cut him and save $16M against the cap ...

If he would play for something like $8M in 2022 the Rams could structure it in such a way that he'd have perhaps a $2.5M cap hit in 2022 and then around $7.2M in dead money in 2023 (accounting for both the $8M and the remaining $1.7M in prorated bonus on his existing contract). [overthecap.com]

In this scenario the Rams probably let Noteboom walk (netting a 3rd round comp pick) and groom one of Edwards/AJackson/Brewer/Anchrum/Evans to take over at LT in 2023.
