He's recharged because he won! And wants more at 36 years old. I don't blame him he's a pup and still the youngest coach in the league. And he's got a good gig, heh.
I don't get that he's "recharged" at all out of what he said.
McVay said "“I finished this season probably as refreshed and as rejuvenated as I’ve ever been,” He said, via the Associated Press. “I think a large part of that is being around coaches and players that give you that energy and that excitement. I’m really excited about coaching.”
He's talking about how he felt at the end of the season compared to how he felt at the end of prior seasons. It's a feeling he had throughout the season and it carried him through the Super Bowl. I also think that winning the Super Bowl has a lot to do with McVay feeling rejuvenated. He's still wound up pretty good over that. Think about how McVay was right after losing SuperBowl 53 to the Patriots. I doubt he was feeling refreshed and rejuvenated then and he wouldn't be talking about feeling that way if the Rams had lost SB 56 either. McVay is a high energy guy so he never winds all the way down. And when things are going well, it just continues for him. I think the recharge for him is yet to come. He still has a wedding and a honeymoon coming up as well. He should be pretty rested after that.
