First of all let me say thank you for going to all the trouble to remember and collect some of the major debates we've had here on the board. You put in some good degree of effort to summarize them and write about them fairly and accurately. It made for an excellent and enjoyable read. Thank you.
I agree with everything you wrote and in most examples I felt similar to how you felt. The Lombardi, and the consistent winning seasons year are proof of smarts. To use a popular axiom: "Winning talks, BS walks," and McSnead has earned the right to talk loudly, above everybody else. How sweet it is!
I think you cut McSnead too much slack on the Tutu pick. McSnead has been very good in all their picks, plans, and personnel hires, but not perfect. While it is too early to call Tutu a bust I don't have much hope for him. Creed, or one of the other OLinemen available would have been a better pick.
I've been re-watching the playoff games and one thing that has stood out for me is how our team, led by McVay and Stafford and the defense, came from behind in strong, almost fluid, ways. It's a little mind boggling to me how everything just clicked when it desperately needed to.
