I don't know the answer to this. But you're also not supposed to return from Achilles tears in 5 months!
If anyone knows a true timeline it'll be the Rams medical staff. And no doubt a lot of this will rest on OBJs willingness to devote himself to his rehab.
As for returning? I think unless the medical team believes his chances are not good for this coming season, the Rams will make an effort to sign him for 2022 on a cheap 1 year deal with lots of incentives for playing time, etc. And OBJ will have very few options.
My non-educated guess would be that OBJ will be playing by the mid-point of next season (end of October-ish). And, it will be on the Rams.
