A full both hands thumbs up.
To call a season like the Rams have had a failure regardless of what happens today is over the top. It takes an awful lot to get to the Conference Championship.
Only 4 of 32 teams get to , and only 2 will win their Conference Championship. 1 of 32 will win it all.
It does not follow by any reasonable measure that all the other teams have failed.
Sure, every team wants to advance to the Superbowl and win. But that doesn't make 31 teams that don't, wrong in their choices and/or are failures with someone to blame.
The Rams are going to continue be very good next year, and the year after, etc. because they have an elite QB, some Superstars, a really good coach and GM, and a lot of good core players with several in development. They have a patient, deep pockets, and experienced owner. The Rams 5 years ago have become a joy to me instead of a disappointment.
You don't slam your kid because he/she got the 2nd or 3rd best grade average in the school as opposed to the 1st. But who doesn't hope for and encourage them to be the best they can be and perhaps that winds up being #1? I guess that's how I feel about the Rams.
