they're becoming a more complete team

Not perfect or top tier in all three phases by any means. But more consistent and good in all three. Special teams have definitely improved and that's an underrated part of it right now. They're probably still not top 15 in the league there overall really but they're no longer bottom 10 which is big.

The defense is not #1 like 2020 but clearly top 10. Top 8? Around there.

Offensively Michel has been so valuable in helping them get back to the running game they would have had with Akers. OBJ seems to get acclimated more by the week. Supposedly the pick-6 vs. BAL was him running the wrong route which could very well be. We have to keep in mind he's been with this team only 7+ weeks. I'm sure he's still getting more acclimated by the week. And the OL- starters and backups- have been steady across the board. Minimize Stafford turnovers and eliminate any inside their own 30 and/or taken to the house and they are a very, very hard to team to beat.

If they can shake the demons of the 49ers and hang on to that 2nd seed they will be in a very good position. Not only playing the 7th seed at home but they'd be guaranteed a home game in round two if they win. At Lambeau in late January? A very tall task. Would be nice to get there though and see what happens.
