Same here. My oldest son is named after Warner and my youngest is named after Jack Youngblood and Marshall.
Before going to the movie though all my kids were giving me grief about how boring it would be (they want every movie to be a Marvel movie these days.
They all LOVED it and my oldest stood up immediately as the credits began rolling and clapped as loudly as he could. The rest of the theater then got up and clapped too. That made my heart swell so much, I thought it would burst.
He is very critical of movies and said that he thought it would just be a movie showing mostly old football footage, but that the story weaves throughout was "riveting and engaging" and he really enjoyed it. He now has a great appreciation for the man he was named for. 😊
A nice Easter egg for me was seeing the Albany Firebirds during the Arena footage. I and a buddy of mine had season tickets for the Firebirds for several years and even during Kurt's time with the Barnstormers. I may have seen him play, but I just can't recall for sure. That was many moons ago and at the time I would have rooting against him. 😁
