I'm going to tackle this. Life isn't fair either is football. Football is a game you have 4 quarters to win the game not play for a tie. At some point you have to risk it for the biscuit in life and football. If you have the chance to win the game without going to overtime ala a 2pt conversion your team needs to man up and take the ball at the 2 and end it. You are not guaranteed a chance to ever get the ball back in overtime. Also what are the odds you are going to get the ball at the 2 with a chance to score. I love that NFL doesn't reward teams for playing for ties. I liked it a lot better when it was sudden death gave more incentive for teams to play for a win not medicocracy. Football is one of the most physical and mentally draining sports where you impose your will on teams by being mentally and physically tough. Why sugarcoat it at the end like they do in college and completely change the rules of the game. Go back to sudden death no rewards for it's not fair.
