#2 Seems a little goofy to me.
Here's what it says:

Matthew Stafford has been in the NFL for almost 13 full seasons, yet Monday night was the first time he beat a truly good team.What this is saying is if Stafford beat a team the first week of the season and that team went on to win the rest of it's games then Stafford wouldn't get credit for beating a 'truly good team'.
As an example, the Ravens beat the Steelers in week 2 of the 2004 season. The Steelers went on to finish 15-1. IMO the Ravens beat a 'truly good team'.
